Faculty of Education Research & Knowledge Exchange Conference

The Faculty of Education Research & Knowledge Exchange Conference “Learning with Each Other” is taking place tomorrow.

Throughout the day there will be a wide range of presentations that represent the breadth of scholarly activity, research and knowledge exchange taking place in the Faculty of Education at the moment.

The Keynote speaker is Dr Linda Hargreaves from the University of Cambridge, who will report on the findings of recent research which demonstrates the value of pupil dialogue and ‘out-of-school’ experience in inclusive education.

Presentations are organised in five parallel sessions around the Faculty’s research themes:

  • Auto/biography and narrative
  • Holistic early learning & development
  • Curriculum: creativity and innovation
  • Inclusion, equalities and social justice
  • Post secular values and the sacred
  • Professional, organisational and leadership development
  • Pedagogy and identify
  • Ecopedagogy

There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and networking.

About CCCU Research Development

Research Development (RD) is part of the Department of Enterprise, Employability and Research Development. RD is responsible for ensuring that Research and Enterprise is of the highest quality and meets all required internal and external standards, including managing the institutional submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF). RD leads on development and implementation of the institutional research and enterprise integrity policies, processes and best practice. It also hosts the institutional Staff Researcher Development Programme and the Early Career Researcher Programme SPARC, and is responsible for the annual Research Internship programme. RD provides strategic and targeted support for academic staff to seek and secure funding for their research and innovation activities. This includes identification of core funding opportunities and support for proposal development, alongside strategic advice and support for faculties to develop their research portfolio and capacity.
