Research Internships 2016 – now open for students to apply

We have posted a list of all the student RKE internship projects approved and funded for 2016.

These projects provide undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to carry out a part-time research internship over the summer months, supervised by an academic. There are currently 47 research internship opportunities for students listed, covering a range of subject areas across all faculties.

Each intership has its own job description, requirements and application form. The internships all start on 23rd May and will last either 5 or 10 weeks.  The pay rate is £10.61 per hour.

The deadline for students to apply for any of the opportunities listed is Sunday 17th April.

Research Development (RD) is part of the Department of Enterprise, Employability and Research Development. RD is responsible for ensuring that Research and Enterprise is of the highest quality and meets all required internal and external standards, including managing the institutional submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF). RD leads on development and implementation of the institutional research and enterprise integrity policies, processes and best practice. It also hosts the institutional Staff Researcher Development Programme and the Early Career Researcher Programme SPARC, and is responsible for the annual Research Internship programme. RD provides strategic and targeted support for academic staff to seek and secure funding for their research and innovation activities.
