Using Grantfinder & Policyfinder

grant finder logoA few weeks ago the Research and Innovation Funding Unit (RIFU) had a visit from GRANTfinder’s Antony McKay

Grantfinder is a funding database and is one of the largest European funding research information tools. It finds and identifies support for community projects, capital expenditure, Research and Development, the environment etc. It is particularly useful in highlighting tendering opportunities.

If you do not already have an account and you would like one please email rifu@canterbury.ac.uk and we can set one up for you. There is an introduction video here which explains Grantfinder and the user guide is located under ‘My Resources’, ‘My Toolkit’ when logged in.

Antony also gave us a demonstration of another of Idox’s products called POLICYfinder. This is an add-on to Grantfinder which enables users to search across thousands of UK and European policy documents published by the Government and other major funders in the public, private and voluntary and community sectors covering a wide range of subjects from Education to Housing. We have been given a free trial of Policyfinder until 31st July. The Policyfinder tab is located on the Grantfinder homepage.

We are currently in the process of trialling Policyfinder so any feedback you have would be gratefully received. What we would like to know is whether people find PolicyFinder useful and also any feedback on using Grantfinder as a funding search tool.
