Thanks to everyone who came to last week’s RKE forum on Sustainability. It was wonderful to see so many people there to start the discussion about sustainability-related RKE activity.
At the forum we proposed establishing a Strategic Research Network for Social and Environmental Resilience. We will be collating the feedback from the session over the next couple of weeks and sharing a proposal for a way forward.
We would like to invite you to join us at the next Futures Forum event which will be held on Friday 11th September 1-4pm (room tbc), where there will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of the new network. Together we will explore possible aims and objectives as well as ways to achieve them. There will also be an opportunity to share any sustainability-related RKE activity you are already involved with.
When: Wednesday 22nd July 12- 2pm
Where: Canterbury campus, Lg45
A reminder that our next Research and Knowledge Exchange forum will focus on sustainability. If you are actively involved in, or wish to participate in research and KE related to sustainability, please come along.
RKE forums are an opportunity for colleagues to find out about the latest developments in RKE policy, current research happening across the institution and discuss Research and Knowledge Exchange related matters.
CCCU recognises that sustainability includes socio-cultural, environmental and economic dimensions that cut across many areas of the University’s work in education, health, the humanities and the sciences. A wide range of individuals and groups are already engaged in excellent research and knowledge exchange activity in this area.
The forum will consider the rationale for the development of a university-wide strategic research network (SRN) focused on social and environmental resilience. The forum will be your opportunity to influence the University’s sustainability agenda for research and knowledge exchange.
Tea and coffee will be available at the event. You are welcome to bring along your lunch.
