Reminder to participate in Advance HE consultation survey –

The Advance HE consultation survey has now been open for two weeks and if you have not had the opportunity to participate yet, we would very much like to hear from you.

The survey, which is completely confidential, will help to influence the purpose, scope and remit of Advance HE. It will take between 20 – 30 minutes to participate and invites you to have your say on our proposed draft purpose and how well it reflects your needs and expectations, as well as providing you with an opportunity to give feedback on our products and services.

The survey will close at 23:59 (BST) on 7 August 2018. We hope that you can take the time to give your views which will be extremely valuable in helping us to shape the new organisation. As a thank you for taking part, Advance HE will make a donation to the international charity for academics, Cara, on behalf of respondents.

Advance HE STEM Conference 2019 – Delivering Next Generation Higher Education in STEM: Call for papers now open

The Advance HE STEM Conference will return at the end of January 2019. This year it focuses on Delivering Next Generation Higher Education in STEM. The conference is an ideal opportunity to collaborate and learn from other higher education professionals within STEM disciplines and to share best practice.

This two-day conference, featuring a mix of peer-led workshops, presentations and respected keynotes will provide a forum for each of the individual STEM disciplines as well as opportunities to learn from cross-disciplinary practice.

We are asking for proposals that address one of five propositions, which explore themes around covering topics such as: interdisciplinary approaches to learning and teaching in STEM; innovation; technology; equality, diversity and inclusion; and leadership. Proposals must be submitted by 31 October 2018.
