New ESIF Call for South East LEP Area

A new Call has been launched under the ERDF strand of the European Structural and Investment Funds for the South East.

A new SME Support Call is open for projects that will support growth of the creative and cultural industries in the South East LEP area.

Grants from a minimum of £500,000 are available to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by:

  • Promoting entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and fostering the creation of new firms, including through business incubators.
  • Supporting the creation and the extension of advanced capacities for products, services and development.
  • Supporting the capacity of SMEs to grow in regional, national and international markets.

The total available budget is £3 million and funding will be awarded for up to three years.

The deadline for applications is 27 May 2016.

Research Development (RD) is part of the Department of Enterprise, Employability and Research Development. RD is responsible for ensuring that Research and Enterprise is of the highest quality and meets all required internal and external standards, including managing the institutional submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF). RD leads on development and implementation of the institutional research and enterprise integrity policies, processes and best practice.
